On one of the vegetable farms I worked on last summer we used these fancy Japanese weeding tools that you can't really find in the US. The farm needed more and the owner asked if I might be able to make a small batch of 10. So I made one, just to show him what it would look like, and then we agreed on a price. After buying the material and building myself a simple jig, I made up 9 more little hoes. I even made one left-handed hoe, by mirroring the toolpath on the CNC plasma, for a lefty member of the crew.
The last image is a side by side of one of my hoes, monogrammed with the farm's initials, and the original. Mine has no wooden handle in the picture because those were added after the fact by the farmer.
